The release of “Fast & Furious 7″ has been
pushed to 2015, Vin Diesel wrote on his
Facebook page Sunday night. Diesel starred
in most of the films in the popular series
alongside Paul Walker, who died in a car
accident the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Executives at Universal, the film’s studio,
have been discussing how to proceed since
Walker’s death, meeting with the
filmmakers, including director James Wan,
producer Neal Moritz and writer Chris
Morgan. Production on the seventh “Fast”
film was more than half-completed when
Walker died.
Here’s what Diesel wrote Sunday:
“The last scene we filmed together…
There was a unique sense of completion, of
pride we shared… in the film we were now
completing… the magic captured… and, in
just how far we’ve come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released…

Universal had not indicated how it would
proceed beyond delaying production. As
TheWrap previously reported, the film’s
producers have considered starting from
scratch.
Diesel produced several of the recent films,
in which Walker played Brian O’Conner, an
LAPD officer turned member of an
international criminal crew.
